2008-2009 Officers
President Gary Carter Harrison County Agriculture Agent
The President of KACAA presides over all meetings of the association and of the board of directors. They may call special meetings of the board of directors as needed.
President-Elect Ray Tackett Floyd County Agriculture Agent
The president-elect may perform the duties of president in their absence or disability. The president-elect also serves as emcee of the Professional Improvement Awards program at the KACAA State Meeting.
2nd Vice President Annette Heisdorffer Daviess County Horticulture Agent
The 2nd vice president serves as the liaison between the State Board and the host sub-district for the annual meeting. He/she also chairs the annual by-laws review committee which also includes the 3rd vice president and the past president.
3rd Vice President Brian Newman Green County Agriculture Agent
The 3rd vice president is responsible for the professional improvement session during the annual meeting and is in charge of state committees and training of committee chairs.
Secretary Lori Bowling Boyd County Horticulture Agent
The secretary keeps a complete record of all meetings of the association and the board of directors.
Treasurer Chris Ammerman Grant County Agriculture Agent
The treasurer of KACAA keeps all financial and membership records for the association. All state and national membership dues are to be turned in to the treasurer annually.
Public Relations Director Carol Schreiber Warren County Horticulture Agent
The public relations director is elected by the membership during odd years to serve a two-year term. They work with agricultural and related organizations in marketing the association. The public relations director takes all appropriate photographs, serves as webmaster of the KACAA website, and handles all jobs associated with KACAA marketing items.
Farm Organizations Director Kevin Lyons Monroe County Agriculture Agent
The farm organizations director coordinates the programs of KACAA with the major farm organizations of Kentucky and serves as the designated member of the association to serve on the boards of those farm organizations that request representation of KACAA. This position is elected by the membership during even years and serves a two-year term.
Salary & Fringe Benefits Chair Greg Whitis McCreary County Agriculture Agent
The salary and fringe benefits chair serves as a liaison between KACAA and the UK College of Agriculture with regards to salary and fringe benefits issues. This position is elected by the membership during even years and serves a two-year term.
Past President Curt Judy Todd County Agriculture Agent
The immediate past president serves on the executive committee. He/she is a member of the annual by-laws review committee.
